Hazrat Abu Saeed Khidri (R.A) narrates that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “A Momin (believer) performs Namaz in the night of Ramadan in which 1500 virtues are written for him on each prostration and a house of red ruby is built for him in paradise, which has sixty thousand doors and there is a palace of gold on every door (i.e. sixty thousand palaces are built) and if he prostrates at any time in the whole month of Ramadan whether it is night or day, he is awarded such a long tree that a (horse) rider may ride for five hundred years in its shadow.(Al Targheeb wal Tarahib, book # 2, page # 92)
Hazrat Abdur Rahman Bin Jubair (R.A) says, “ Once the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was hungry (and there was nothing to eat) then the Holy Prophet (PBUH) took a stone and tied that on his belly and said, there are many people who are busy in the delicious foods and luxuries of this world and they will be bared and hungry on the day of judgment and there are many people who are followers of their wishes but actually (these wishes) will disgrace him, and there are many people who would disgrace their wishes ( in this world) actually (this disgrace) will cause respect for them (in hereafter). (Targheeb, Book # 3, Page # 140)
Hazrat Abbu Jahefa (R.A) says that I ate suraid of bread and meat and went to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), I belched. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “Stay away from this belch, today (the person) who eats bellyful in this world will be as hungrier on the day of judgment.” After this saying of Holy Prophet (PBUH) Hazrat Abbu Jahefa (R.A) didn’t eat bellyful till he passed away. If he used to eat in the morning then didn’t use to eat in the evening, if he used to eat in the evening then he didn’t use to eat in the morning.
